3 intelligent apps that make you more productive today
Over the last years, I've been developing a very intensive daily routine, trying to balance my personal life as a father-of-three-daughters and a relatively active and multitasking enterprise professional. And one thing that helps keep my productivity level up is leveraging the right technology to support me in every task. With this mindset, I've started to use dozens of applications, mostly mobile apps, that help me to get things done faster and with quality, allowing me to have more time in my day for the things I need and love to do. Also, I have been following different productivity philosophies, always thinking that I should not do more than I have to. After all, what I've concluded is that one of the best ways to increase my efficiency at work and in my personal life is to cut out things that don't need to be done in the first place. Therefore, in general, my advice is not to choose apps and tools only because they look fancy but choose those that can help you cut out everything unnecessary, allowing you to focus on solely what you need the most.

How Machine Learning is Revolutionizing Mobile App Development? - Helios Blog
Remember how the introduction of smartphones and mobile apps had brought a paradigm shift in our lives? Now machine learning (ML) is bringing a new era in mobile app development! The machine learning enabled mobile apps do not require explicit programming anymore to perform tasks. Rather they can collect and analyze information which is needed to draw conclusions and also learn automatically and improve from experience during program performance. However, the process of learning involves sophisticated algorithms which teaches machines and enables them to accumulate previous experience in order to make decisions and adapt when exposed to new data.

With the existence of mobile applications, it can change and transform the way, how people are currently living these days. From monitoring our sleep patterns to using Google maps to reach a designated location, everything single thing is been revolutionized, and it brought our fingertips in the form of the mobile application. However, with the rise of AI or Artificial Intelligence is has widely become one of the most popular topics, in both business and science, along with the tech companies and their interest to invest in the AI technology. With Deep Mind being a $400 million asset of Google is currently the best example for today's mainstream of AI applications. Through recent researches, it has come to that the tech heavyweights namely Google and Baidu have invested between $20million to $30million on AI, respectively.

Investors share their predictions for AI and machine learning in 2018
Over the past three years, building intelligent apps -- apps powered by machine learning that continuously improve as they ingest new data -- has become easier and easier. Given the continued rise of machine learning, where are venture capitalists looking for the next set of investment opportunities? Generally, we see the core machine learning tools and building block services maturing, and now we are most interested in companies that are "moving up" the stack toward vertical applications, "moving down" the stack toward purpose-built hardware, and "moving out" of the data center toward intelligence at the edge. Here are four categories which we have been investing in and tracking closely because we believe they will play meaningful parts in the future of intelligent apps. As machine learning becomes more prevalent, cloud providers have raced to offer the latest GPUs for training machine learning models.

Artificial Intelligence Is the Next Big Boom in Mobile App Development - DZone Mobile
You can bank on it: Artificial intelligence (AI) is going to be the next big thing in mobile. At the MIT CIO Symposium in May, GE CIO Jim Fowler made it clear that we are moving toward "a world where machines are going to tell people what to do," instead of vice versa.1 More affordable sensors, rich data available in real-time and powerful analysis tools are powering the move. GE CIO Jim Fowler makes it clear that we are moving toward "a world where machines are going to tell people what to do," instead of vice versa. In fact, Gartner vice president and Gartner Fellow David Cearley says that intelligent apps will be one of the top ten strategic trends for 2017.
